Class Schedule

Here is our latest class list! I hope you get a chance to enjoy at least one of these classes. We try to offer a variety of classes that will touch on many different aspects of sewing and quilting while providing something for all skill levels.
 
You can reserve your spot in any class with a phone call or by stopping in the store. Classes must be prepaid no less than two weeks in advance when possible. Credit card payment is accepted by phone or you can pay at the store. The Store Phone # is: (231) - 267 - 5895.

Celtic Design Class

Date: Tuesday May 4th, 11th, June 1st.
Time:  9:30 - 12:30 PM

Four Patch Posey

American Beauty Block of the Month 

Date: Saturday's May 22nd, June 26th, July 24th
Then every 4th Thursday of the month

A half hour lecture is included in the kit fee. If you choose to come in for the day and make your blocks in class there is an additional $15 charge for the instructor. Bring in your finished block from the prior month and get 15% off any new purchases immediately following the monthly demo.

Foxy Block

I have chosen 24 blocks 9" size that have a new learning in all of them. These will be cut with your rotary cutter except for 4 blocks that each have one piece that will need to be cut with a template. We will be making 3 blocks a month.
During class you will cut all three with my help and I will demo the sewing of each block. I estimate your out of class time will be about 2-3 hours per month. I am excited about this and the September blocks are on display at this time. This can be done as a scrap quilt or a planned set of fabrics. 

Beginning Quilting I

This is for the people who want to start quilting. We will cover all the basics that are needed to have success as a beginning quilter. There will be a small project to complete in class using what you learn. You will develop a feel for the process as you go and hopefully you will be hooked!

Beginning Quilting II

Beginning quilting I is a preferred pre-requisite for this class, but not mandatory. If you already have beginning quilting skills you can join Beginning Quilting II. 

Machine Embroidery Club

Date:   4th Tuesday of every month- Starts May 25th
Time: 9:30-4pm, bring your lunch

This class meets all day. We will have a monthly project that will help us learn new techniques and try new patterns. You will use your machine on a bigger variety of projects and   extend the use of your embroidery machine. We will be working on a wild flower quilt by Smith Street Design. A CD with these designs is available at $24.99. You have the machine  ... lets start using it to it's potential. You can join this club anytime!

Embroidery Club II

Date:   3rd Tuesday of most months- Starts May 18th
